If you're upset that there are no UMD movies being released this week, you might want to head over to Circuit City to take advantage of one of the better PSP deals I've seen lately.
Whether this is an official sale or part of a larger UMD clearance strategy you can grab either The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe or Underworld Evolution for the hot, hot price of $9.99. At this price point, UMDs are viable as either an alternative or a complement to the DVD version of the films. And speaking of the films themselves, they rock.
You can check out the sale in Circuit City's Sunday ad or via their website.

If they had released all UMD Videos at or around this price point then they may have caught.
Am i stupid, or would this not have been economically viable?

Yeah, this is the perfect price point. I have a huge collection of bought DVD's and there was no way I was going to buy the UMD versions also. It was much easier to have my file server with AnyDVD and Slysoft's CloneDVDmobile to make a PSP file. At $9.99 I would buy the UMD's and be happy.
This works great cause I travel a lot on planes.

A lot of sales at Circuit have been going on lately. I bought Megaman Powered Up for $20.00.
I think its just that the store is just trying to compete with Best Buy and Wal Mart.
I think eventually though they will stop selling the UMDs.
Hopefully not though.

Yep, anywhere between $5 and $10 would have been good... and much better distribution. Its great having the titles, but no good if you can get hold of them. Airports, video stores, etc.
