Hot tools for the PSone emu user
Dark_Alex's hack of Sony's official PSone emulator has really revamped the PSP homebrew scene. There are two new programs available for those of you that are converting your own PSone games. First is the PopStation GUI creator, which allows you to make those nifty loading screens that appear in the XMB before choosing a PSone game. Unlock all of MGS:PO's unique characters
While driving around using the GPS system will get you some characters, the coolest ones have to be earned through the game. Or... through these cheats. Playing and cheating Vice City Stories through DevHook
The excellent CheatDevice is back. Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories became a wonderous playground with the device, letting you do some truly crazy stuff. Mere days after its release, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories has a CheatDevice of its own. Edison Carter has crafted a tool that will let you get Infinite Health & Armor (helpful) and the Video Recorder (more helpful), which lets you capture footage directly from the game.
You'll need to be running DevHook on a homebrew-enabled PSP. If you're homebrew-ready, head over to Edison's website to download the device. Remember: we don't support piracy here at PSP Fanboy. Please buy all your games!

Extreme airtime in GTA:LCS
Weekends aren't usually filled with breaking news, so it's usually the time we look back and reflect on the cooler aspects of the PSP community. I'm not too interested in the musings of an illiterate fanboy, but I am totally awe-inspired by the crazy things that people have been doing in GTA:LCS. The cheat devices for GTA have come a long way since the first time PSP Fanboy reported on it. People are now defying all logic, performing gravity-defying tricks, riding on walls, spawning helicopters and even creating trick ramps for those that want Liberty City to be one giant level of Tony Hawk. Here's some of my favorites from the GTA cheats and trick community.
Cheat at GTA:LCS the quick and easy way
Tired of always getting your ass beat down in Liberty City? Take the low road and pick up this cheat device, which installs about as easily as you can lie about your score in Lumines. There are few caveats with the hack, the most glaring being not being able to save, which in all honesty is a real bummer. Also, this supposedly only works for firmware 2.0 and below, although some forum posters have claimed it runs on firmware versions up to 2.5.It's pretty clear that this is meant to be a trainer for trying out those scenarios you've always been curious about (with the exception of those situations involving the words "hot" and "coffee"), rather than an actual game aid. But heck, if you can get unlimited health and armor, fool around with your wanted level, spawn any item, and control the time and weather, I say bring on the swarming troops of citizen-beating policemen.
