Spectral Souls is slowly creeping towards release in the States (it's coming September 26th). The game comes from the publisher NIS and as you know, the success of this game may make it easier for Disgaea PSP to hit US shelves. While the first trailer of this game had much more dramatic music, it failed to showcase real gameplay, as noted by our reader Pa. This new trailer goes over the skills you'll need for this sprite-based isometric RPG. For those of you keeping an eye out for some old-school RPG-ing, you may want to check this out.
Spectral Souls contest
Can't get enough contests? As if giving away a free copy of WTF in our 1000th post weren't enough, I discovered a new contest running on AMN to win a copy of the upcoming RPG Spectral Souls. It comes from the same publishing team as Disgaea, so maybe showing your love for this game will make the Disgaea PSP port a reality in the US. Maybe. The contest ends September 20th. The game releases on September 26th.
Spectral Souls trailer
It's been a long, long time since we've heard any news of this game from Idea Factory. RPGs are becoming more and more plentiful on the system, and with the excellent Valkyrie Profile already on the shelves, and Jeanne d'Arc on the way, can this baby compete? I guess we'll find out when it launches in October.
Spectral Souls heading for US shores
Spectral Souls, an RPG from the makers of Disgaea: Hour of Darkness and the upcoming Generation of Chaos, is set to fall into American PSP gamers' hands in Fall 2006. The game lets you control three opposing kingdoms: the Royal Demon Kingdom, the Imperial Army, and the Rebel Army, and the decisions you make with each ultimately determine how the ensuing story plays out.Considering the PSP's rather meager collection of RPGs, which so far includes the recently released Kingdom of Paradise, PoPoLoCrois, and the launch title Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade, the announcement of Spectral Souls is most definitely a welcome bit of news. Then again, we're sort of desperate so we'll take what we can get.
