You asked for it, and we're delivering. Here's the zeroth episode of the PlayStation Fancast. Why is it Episode 0? Well, we're still learning how to produce a podcast effectively. We plan on having a full-blown "professional-sounding" podcast with intro music, stronger audio quality, and flaming monkeys in the future. However, with so much to talk about from Gamers Day, we had to share something with you right now.Episode 0 features PS Fanboy's Andrew Yoon and Joystiq's Kevin Kelly talking about highlights from SGD. Listen to how Sony's upcoming lineup of heavy-hitters has convinced Kevin to purchase both a PS3 and PSP.

We'd really appreciate your comments, so tell us how we did. Yeah, the audio was a little messed up, and the encoding is a little wonky -- but we want to get better for you! Stay tuned for more details on the official launch of the PlayStation Fancast, and thanks for reading/listening.

Are you in the Philadelphia area?
I'd like to participate if possible, and I'm pretty good with audio production.

Your RSS feed is missing an enclosure element with the MP3. Joystiq has the same problem with their podcast.

I am so glad you guys are doing a podcast. There has been a lack of a playstation centric blog since OPM died. You can count me as a definite subscriber, although it would be convenient for most of us if you submitted it to itunes, then we could all auto download.

@Brandon...Why not use PSP VIDEO 9 and Videora (this way it automatically converts video podcasts that are in the incorrect mp4 format too)? Break the iTunes monopoly man! (and then use PSP Media Server for anywhere hotspot access if you don't have a PS3).
Its all free software.

@ Andrew,
Hey, I really enjoyed this fancast, it was cool. Having enjoyed the SGD coverage on both the Sony Fanboy sites, it was cool to get that much more information on some of those games.
I also liked Kevin Kelly. But, I was thinking, is this a solo fancast with a guest here, or a duo? Anyway, I propose that, if he's up for it, you rotate in Kevin Kelly and Nick Doerr of PS3 Fanboy for the second host.
Also, when you get this thing sounding better (so things don't sound so muffled and you don't cut out) you've GOT to kick this back to like 64kbps. I mean, 48MB for a 51-minute cast? How's about something like 24 instead?
Anyway, just my 2 cents. Really enjoyed it, keep 'em comin'!

I think that the podcast is great! It is very long though but I really don't care. It's great and I love it. I can't wait for the next episodes! Maybe you should put up some videos or something that we can see of the topic you are talking about. Like if you are talking about a game, then you should show some videos of the gameplay.
