Ever since Silent Hills: Origins came back from its months-long silence, people have been talking about the game's incredible production values. IGN spoke with the game's producer, William Oertel, who spoke a little bit about creating the title: "When first conceiving the idea of Silent Hill on the PSP, the recurrent thought was to do a remake of the original Silent Hill. While some fans would have loved to have seen this, we decided it was better to take the opportunity to build on the rich story encompassed by the series. Doing a prequel (of sorts) allowed us to also touch on some of the moments in the original Silent Hill and present them in a new and different way. The story behind the town is really a story of the characters we've seen in past games. So, the game reveals part of their history, such as Alessa, Dr. Kaufmann and Dahlia, as well as adding a new character, Travis."
It's great to see Konami offer yet another high profile, original game for the platform. With Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops and an upcoming Castlevania game, it seems like Konami is quickly becoming one of PSP's elite publishers.

Oh give it a rest already! This isn't a 'zero sum game' - the people here own PSP's, many of us also own a DS. Those of us who own both have likely already played the excellent DS Castlevanias.
But that doesn't mean that we really need people like you to come along in every thread saying 'get a DS, get a DS'.
This thread isn't even about Castlevania! It is about Silent Hill, in case your fanboyism prevents proper reading. Regarding Castlevania, however, the reason I am looking forward to it is that I don't play consoles and never have. So I've never experienced SotN, and look forward to getting to play it the same way that the GBA & DS have brought me the Final Fantasy world.
Regarding Silent Hill, I still worry that the darkness will work well with the PSP. But hey, I'll give it a shot ;)

Personally, I think you have no life, if all you do is troll on here and post gamdfaq links that I and probably nobody else bothers to click on. As far as I'm concerned, Gamefaqs equals moronic troll country.
Rondo of Blood was never released in NA, so I don't think anyone(except for a small few), has "played or seen it already". I personally never played SotN, and since I've gotten the impression that it's still the best castlevania game released so far, I'm definitely looking forward to that added bonus. So yeah, 2 kickass looking games on 1 umd = SWEET!
