Block evil websites with censorit
Thankfully, a new service, censorit, will help make you a better parent. By subscribing for only ₤4 a month, you'll be able to install a proxy client on the handheld that will block and monitor internet access on the PSP. If your child tries to circumvent the censor, PSP's built-in parental controls will stop him. If he manges to outwit the parental controls, you can see when the censor becomes deactive. No porn for him! At least, not on his PSP.

I know people with entire seperate 2GB cards loaded with the stuff. I, however, don't know a single person who uses the browser for it.

i can hardly use my PSP's browser because i cant get a rock hard connection. My wife says I should see a specialist. . . I'm a little embarrassed to.

Really Julian? I have no problem getting a rock hard connection on mine.
*cough cough*
No, but seriously, doesn't the kid just have to take out his memory stick, thus taking out the software?
Or just switch to a different goddamn proxy setting?
Any child who gets fooled by this deserves to get caught.

Even if people wanted to do this, who'd have the time, money or patience?

I think there are very few people who
1.) Would buy their kid a PSP and
2.) Are tech savvy enough to know it can browse the web
3.) Are even more tech savvy enough to know this program exists
4.) Are even MORE tech savvy enough to install the program and
5.) Are paranoid enough about porn to actually want this on their kid's PSP.

for goodness sake... Censorship this, censorship that. I'm 18 and i've never had censorship in my home, but i've had censorship in work/school etc and it's a whole bunch of crap. It doesn't filter out 'bad sites' it filters out anything that swears.
You hear kids swearing all the time unless you never get out your house. You'll see pornographic images all the time whether it be magazines, a friends phone, the movies etc.
it's 2008 people. stop censoring stuff. People WILL see it anyway. Swearing and pornography (believe it or not) is natural and i seriously dont see a problem with it.
I know if i have kids i dont give a shit if they see porn. So what?
Seeing porn or swearing hasn't made me into a bad person...
it makes me so angry to see such politcal bullcrap getting put about.

Who the hell's got the patience for porn on PSP?
One set of tits (or balls if you are in to that) is going to take half hour to load.

A much easier method would be to use OpenDNS's free content filtering on your router, and then just password protect that.

Well, first off, what's wrong with porn? And it can't be disturbing to a kid who knows that it exists and open a website up to watch it.

I use my PSP at time to look at the headlines on this site. It would be pretty funny if you guys got blocked because of the word "porn" on the page. Lol!
