New Gundam Battle Universe Famitsu scans
For those who are anticipating the July 11th Japanese release of Gundam Battle Universe, we have a couple of scans to help alleviate the pain of waiting for this import to reach your hands. It features of the mecha from the many incarnations of Gundam, new mission features, and their female (at least I think they are... one can never tell with anime) pilots. Why is there another Gundam game you ask? Like the endless number of Dragon Ball Z games, they never fail to sell extremely well over in Japan.

I wonder how many people who read PSP Fanboy actually import games from Japan? I'm guessing it's a pretty small percentage.

If that's true then its a great shame. The fact that the PSP's region free makes it one of the best platforms for importing.
Living in england as I do, this is a great boon to me. As we only get games if the french do (fsking PAL region codes...) this often means we miss out on RPG's (We got FFTA *before* we got FFT over here. We never got Xenogears, Xenosaga or Chrono Cross either.)
As for Japan games, I've already imported all of the games in this series aside from the first (Battle Tactics) and whilst you do need a good Faq or two to understand how some things work, most of it is pretty self-explainatory.
I've also imported SRW MX and Federation Vs ZAFT (I'm a sucker for Mecha, and the PSP caters for me really well in that aspect.)
I was able to import R-Type Command and Castlevania Dracula X Collection literally months before the PAL releases, so I'm definately a fan of imports.

Do you? I know my cousin does (he also reads psp fanboy). I've been thinkin bout it recently, might start importing.
Anyway, another gundam game wouldnt hurt. And Andrew's right, it's often hurt to tell guys from gals in animes/mangas. Its so confusing!

Interesting. I'd love to try any of these Gundam games, but the language barrier stops me cold. I just feel that I wouldn't get the full enjoyment without understanding the text and dialog. Maybe I'll have to give one a try.
It just hurts to read stories like this, week after week, knowing that none of this will come to the US. :-(

I totally agree with you, Zippon. Every now and then I import a game, but most of the time the language barrier just turns me off. And as of late, all we're getting are these "Japan only" news that tick me off a little. PSPFanboy's not to blame, of course.
