Remember when we showed you the V191 PSP-knockoff phone? The Electric New Paper reports that in China, counterfeit products such as the phone pictured above do better than the original counterparts. In fact, bootleggers come out with products before the originals ever reach the country, making consumers believe the genuine products are actually the counterfeited products.
It appears that rumors of a cell phone enhanced PSP made their way on the internet. Before Sony could even possibly announce such a product, developers were hard at work in China making a prototype. The Chinese company then marketed the device for a whopping US $650.
With the homebrew community making their own PSone emulators, it goes to show you that if Sony doesn't add the features people want in the PSP... someone else will.

Did Sony really wanted to put a mobile phone into a PSP!? That's crazy man! I'd use a PSP for playing games, listening to music and watching movies but a cell phone build into my PSP... that sounds to N - Gage. (Here in centeral / eastern Europe a PSP costs more than a mothly salary.) Besides the price of the system would probably go up, and what about the users who bought the first version of PSP? To me it seems they would be much more than disappointed. To make newer versions of consoles is the policy of Big N, but Sony... anything but this.
(sorry for my rusty English)

To Otaku:
But you have to admit that adding a cell phone to a handheld is still cool. But until the technology to mix both ideas into a successfull mix becomes avilible lets not hurry up the things.
The PSP is still cool and have enought functions to make everyone happy or at least keep them shut & busy for a while.
But if i have to ask something to Sony is.....Develop a better battery for the PSP.

It's FUN to get ripped off by buying counterfeits!
It's also FUN to buy a PSP, then discover that all your friends are playing Cooking Mama and Brain Age! (Geez print those puzzles on paper and expect to make a few bucks, but put them on a funky touch screen and reap in millions.)
(Ends bitter PSP owner rant.)

Ohhhhh....Kay...
You mean that people are made to think that the FUN cellphone gadgetshitthingy is the real deal, not that sony had been successfully sued over in the PRC, which would be hilarious.
Oh, and tell me, are the chinese so totally ignorant of real corporations that they'd buy cheap (well in this case more expensive, but you get the idea) knockoffs thinking that IT had been ripped off by sonintendosoft?
