This summer, publisher Nippon Ichi is gearing up their release of a new multiplayer RPG, titled Dragoneer Aria. Up to 4 players are expected to be supported in the final version, via ad-hoc. In typical J-RPG fare, expect to face off against "bad" dragons using magical abilities aligned with each of the popular elements: thunder, ice, water, earth, wind and fire. No word on a North American release at this time, but if this title takes off like hotcakes, you can expect its chances coming stateside to increase exponentially. Take a look at these new screenshots.

I think the japanese dont really like amazing graphics, for all these games have "unsmashing" pictures.

Character model looks fine IMO. But multiplayer RPG? I guess that means no plot... just like Valhalla Knights. That kinda sucks. I kinda prefer a good story-driven single-player RPG

Screenshot looks fine IMO... but multiplayer RPG? Sounds like a no-plot game like Valhalla Knights. I'd rather have a story-driven single-player RPG anytime of the day.
Hope it's just a misconception of mine and the game turns out to be fun =) ... I kinda miss playing a good RPG.

...if you're going to judge graphics by shots, then you're in trouble. Remember how Kingdom of Paradise turned out? Not a single shot at Gamespot that looks good. Play the damned thing on a PSP, and I'd dare some of you to deny the crisp visuals.
I'm willing to bet this will look fine as a moving game, on the PSP screen.

I hope so as well. Yes, you have expressed a general conception, but doesn't mean it'll have to be true. Not that great to make a single player RPG with decent plot, if it is very much possible/plausible to get a multiplayer RPG with a similarly good story as well, right?

Indeed, as Kade Storm says... screenies rarely do a PSP game justice (Unless it's a 2D game). The things look darn better in motion. So as far as graphics go, as I said before... this game is looking fine. Hope it just has a story/gameplay that matches! Guess we'll just have to wait.
