It should come as no surprise that the new cutscenes in Final Fantasy Tactics are impressive. However, how does the gameplay compare? The Magic Box has tons of screenshots for you to gaze over. Are the widescreen PS1 quality graphics winning you over? Or, do you wish that Square Enix put a little bit more effort into this?

the graphics look decent to me, as long as it plays well and has infrastructure it will be as good as any other game or better

I think Tactics may be the one I'm most curious about (even more than CC), since the gameplay is so different. The graphics are satisfactory, but I would like to see something that would be a bit more demanding on the PSP's graphics capabilities. But it seems that SE's portable plans are to really polish up the look for one product and to not to go too hard on the graphics on the other offerings: for the DS it'd be FF3 and for PSP it'd be FF7:CC. Even Reverant Wings looks pretty ho-hum graphics-wise, from what I see on the SE JP website.
Doesn't really matter though, as long as the game is fun.

I would have liked it if they did revamp the graphics but I'm fine with it. Again, I'm just hoping the load times will be bearable. I'm a "paticant?" (I know I spelled this wrong) guy but I don't think its acceptable for a PS1 game on a PSP to have ridiculous load times.

That is where I am at - if what we are getting is the same gameplay, somewhat nicer graphics and worse loadtimes for a non-budget price then where is the attraction? It wasn't so long ago that I played FF 1 & 2, but I want to dig into FF Tactics and would love to replay Riviera ... but at what cost compared to breaking them out for my GBA?
