IGN has a huge blow-out on the upcoming PSP Medal of Honor Heroes. They have one written-by-a-marketing-team write-up that features profiles of the in-game characters:
- 32 player online (Infrastructure) multiplayer. I can't stress enough how awesome that sounds.
- "The game is also optimized to have very short load times, which is hugely important for gamers on-the-go." (Yes!)
- "User Hosted Server feature along with official EA Nation Server games, are both fully customizable and have very detailed leaderboards and stat tracking." (Yes!)

I'm not even a big fan of shooters but this game looks very exiting, expecialy the 32 player multiplayer.

Enough already - maybe its about time that EA started inovating a little? These annual rehashing of the same old thang are really turning me off gaming.

All that sounds super fun? But has anyone else had an enjoyable experince with a FPS on the PSP? I tried Coded Arms and found it very cumbersome to play with the controls. If I over looked any FPS for the PSP that were good please give me some recommendations to try.

Maybe it's just me, but I found Coded Arms to be much *more* playable than SOCOM or Syphon Filter. It was easier to get into, easier to manage items and simpler to get the hang of.
I thought those other two games were amazing to look at with great depth of play and such, but they felt like too much 'work' to get involved in. Something like Killzone with iso/topdown view and very straightforward controls is, I believe, the real ticket for a handheld like the PSP that does have some limitations with control scheme.
I'll be interested to try out MoH, though, and see how they handle it.

Hell yes! Coded Arms can be pretty nifty once one manages to attain command over the controls; I would actually advise that you remove auto-lock and then try using the retro-scheme (control scheme C, I believe).
Syphon Filter was almost as easy, and much more calibrated than Coded Arms, so you get a better feel out of the analogue. One could also give Battlefront II a try; but you'll need aim-assist to enjoy the game, which most have. This also brings up the point that the PSP does have potential for good, traditional-shooters.
As for Socom - now that was an example of an odd scheme. I wasn't happy with the way the game played, but the game concept itself was pretty good.
Therefore, I am really looking forward to Medal Of Honour. C'mon! Infrastructure mode (right?)! And of course, hopefully, a control scheme along the lines of Coded Arms/Syphon Filter/Battlefront II.

KS, we should totally fight each other in CoM sometime. Heh. I can be 'Psychobabble' XD
I think I sold my copy of SOCOM. Such an impressive looking game, yet it just took too much effort. I remember Syphon being much like CA but I haven't given it much of a go since the first day, I confess.

Yeah, sure... Hog all the good screen names; why can't I be "Psychobabble"?
But seriously - CoM? Children of Mana? No really, what's CoM?
