Online services can't last forever, especially if no one is playing the game.
SCEA SCEE has announced that they're ending support for Infrastructure in the following PSP games:
- Lemmings
- World Tour Soccer 2
The games will go offline on June 30th, so if you're still playing these games, you may want to schedule a bit more time with them before then.

I think that's actually a bit unneccessary. If no one is playing the games anyways, there is no cost for SCEA either. So why don't they simply let the server-program run on a box that has a tiny bit of spare-CPU-cycles left?

Thats not entirely true . The server has to go 24/7 , now they can shut it down , or connect other games for it .
Anyways , I went online with Lemmings almost a year ago and there was nobody . I left my PSP on for 2 hours , when a couple of guys came in for an arranged game ...

I wonder if the TWISTED METAL:HEAD ON servers are still up, given the PS2 release(that's surprisingly not online)...?

Andrew Joystiq says it is SCEE, not SCEA.
