I don't think I can ever get bored of Metal Slug's super expressive and detailed sprites dying ultra-violent deaths, and this year's Tokyo Game Show kicking off today, Gamespot has uncovered a cache of new screens for us all to drool over.
Now, in case you don't already know, Metal Slug Anthology is a collection of six previous Metal Slug games. It is set to ship Nov. 7, 2006 and will support two-player wireless multi-player.
God, I love this franchise and to think we get six games in one really gets me excited.

I somehow missed out on the whole Metal Slug thing. I think I have a Neo Geo Pocket Color game in my underwear drawer, but never spent much time with it. I'm thinking this will be one of those classic compilations that will only appeal to those who loved these games way back when.

Too bad I already have this for another system. This should be a great portable game.

Was one of my favorite arcade games even though I sucked at it. Hopefully I can make up for my manliness that I lost back in college to that arcade machine with this. :p

I think that there is SEVEN Metal Slug games in this Anthology :
Metal Slug 1, 2, X, 3, 4, 5, 6.
That makes 7 games.

Does it really have to showcase the graphic abilities? I'm glad they didn't alter it or remake it. They look as fantastic as they did years ago. Sprites don't look much better than this. But did they really confirm Metal Slug 6 for this? That's bloody fantastic! I do find it strange they released 3-6 as individual releases on the PS2, yet they have no problem fitting 7 games on a UMD.

A few Metal Slugs run amazing on the Neo Geo emulator. For those of you into homebrew, make sure you give it a shot.

Awesome! I can't wait for Metal Slug for the PSP. I've been playing homebrew for awhile now, so needing some new material. Material that could be used to make one of those nifty SF Bags!!!

It doesn't really showcase the graphic abilities of the PSP, but that is just Metal Slug. Whatever.
