Final Fantasy Tactics website updates with cool 3D characters

Final Fantasy Tactics is one of the most anticipated titles on the PSP. Why? It was an absolutely brilliant game. Some would argue that its Game Boy Advance successor (Tactics Advance), and the psuedo console succssor, Final Fantasy XII, failed to reach the glory of the original PSone title.

Therefore, every morsel of information that comes out for this game is cherished by gamers at large. The official Japanese website of the game has recently updated with new screenshots, and better yet... gorgeous, rotating 3D models of the game's characters. You'll have to see it to fully appreciate the hand-drawn quality. Hopefully, we'll see more of this game soon (I'm wishing for a quick release, Square!).

(P.S. Make sure you have the latest version of Flash. The site doesn't tell you if you're running an old version.)

Valhalla Knights English website opens

Valhalla Knights was one of the best games at Tokyo Game Show this year, and although it's coming to the US in the future, details have been very scarce. The official US website for this RPG opened a few days ago, and gives a few tidbits on the game's story and characters. With the "Trailer" and "System" sections of the site currently unavailable, it seems like we'll have more to report on in the coming weeks.

Official Sony website experiences evolution

Sony's offical American PlayStation website has undergone a serious makeover, just in time for the upcoming PLAYSTATION launch. One of the new things that Sony's touting is the "PSP Evolution", a term that was undoubtedly created by a marketing team somewhere. This is where the new firmware upgrades, like the hotly anticipated 3.0 update, will end up being distributed.

You may also want to check out the site's not-often-updated downloads page, where you'll be able to download new Content Packs and demos.

Dustball ad continues invasion in Europe

I wasn't a big fan of the dustball ads that hit America during the PSP launch. They showed how the PSP is like carpet you can play with outside... which didn't provide a very compelling reason to buy a PSP. This ad campaign was so bad that it was brilliantly parodied by a fan. Unfortunately, SCEE has picked up the dustballs for a new website. I'm sad to admit that the website humors me much more than the original, and it does a pretty good job of conveying some of the better features of our handheld. Check it out and then tell us what you think about it.

Lumines website updates, showcases more music videos

The Lumines II website has entered Phase II. In this stage, it will develop chrysalis around its body, to protect itself during metamorphosis. It will also showcase music videos in the new Video Hub section. Artists you can preview include the Black Eyed Peas, Fatboy Slim, Beck, The Go! Team, The Chemical Brothers, and more.

Lumines II flutters to store shelves on November 7th.

Lumines II website opens, links to PSP Fanboy

We at PSP Fanboy love Lumines... and apparantly, the people of Lumines love us right back! The official website just launched, and within the slick-looking interface, you'll see upcoming competitions, a wallpaper creator, and more. It appears the site will expand over time, to include a blog, a "music hub" and more. Most excitingly, if you check out the Links section (click the green box), you'll see that Joystiq and PSP Fanboy are listed in their Links section! A mere mortal like me feels honored.

Play with the Chotto Shot official website

The PSP camera peripheral comes with software called Chotto Shot. It reminds me a lot of the Game Boy Camera from way back in the day (and Nintendo's Photo Channel on the Wii): you can manipulate the pictures and videos you capture and make them more colorful, lively, or simply disturbing (pictured above). The Japanese official website features tons of footage from the game, and to be honest, I sort of want one now. But, will the novelty of making sticker picture-quality images stay for long?

Don't make choices! Let Tekken decide

It seems like Namco's marketing push for Tekken: Dark Resurrection's release in Europe extends far beyond silly videos involving disappearing milk. The Let Tekken Decide website is true to its namesake and lets you choose fighters to determine the winner of epic battles such as: Rock vs. Rap, Shampoo vs. Conditioner, Chocolate vs. Vanilla, Paper vs. Plastic, and more. Strangely, it doesn't feature any characters from the game, and actually has worse production values than a similarly-themed internet fan video from a few months ago.

Due to harsh language, a not safe for work video is embedded after the cut.
