I wasn't a big fan of the dustball ads that hit America during the PSP launch. They showed how the PSP is like carpet you can play with outside... which didn't provide a very compelling reason to buy a PSP. This ad campaign was so bad that it was brilliantly parodied by a fan. Unfortunately, SCEE has picked up the dustballs for a new website. I'm sad to admit that the website humors me much more than the original, and it does a pretty good job of conveying some of the better features of our handheld. Check it out and then tell us what you think about it.

I hate them dustballs so much. Does anybody even find them funny? It's so teenage mutant ninja turtles cheesy. It's like a character from early 90's nikelodeon running tv commercials in the morning. It's like that arcade corporation in wayne's world trying to be cool and all. Sony need some great ad agency to pull them out of this heap. Personally, the "....SEGA!!!!" commercials in the 90's was freaking ill.

How could anyone hate those dustballs? They're too adorable to be hated! They're so ugly that you just gotta love 'em. Maybe we could give out our own ideas - like some dustball slogans. They're cute characters and and they could pass for psp mascots.
