Killzone Command Center opens, but where's the expansion?
So, what gives? Sure, the site is pretty, but we were expecting more. According to Gameplanet Store NZ, the expansion will finally come out on May 21st. We don't have official confirmation of this release date, but this is one of the few hints we have to work with. Hopefully, it won't be too much longer until Killzone fans get another fix.

Killzone Infrastructure gets delayed, but now supports headset
In the midst of bad news, there's still some good: the single-player extension will be free, and the multiplayer mode will support microphone use, so you can taunt other players online: "Good news is, we have the all clear to make Chapter 5 a free download. We have been expecting this and have been 99.9% sure it would be, but we could not announce it without the blessing of the higher ups. Also I want to confirm that it will allow Voice comms for those with headsets, but that is all I want to tell you about it right now. "
This Killzone patch cannot come soon enough.

The unpatched version seems to feature different pictures. As a general rule of thumb, you'll have to look for the oldest copies you can find, so they'll most likely be used. When you pop in the disc, make sure the game offers a 2.0 firmware upgrade, not anything higher. Good luck.

3.02 update? Blame PaRappa!
It appears as though today's 3.02 update does not include any revisions to system security, as evidenced by DevHook's successful emulation of 3.02. Sony's latest firmware is aimed solely at one game: PaRappa the Rapper, which is available in Japan only. Apparently, the downloadable levels simply don't work in 3.01 or 3.0, meaning this firmware upgrade is more of a patch than anything else.
But what's with this recent slew of quick firmware turnarounds to fix broken games? 3.02 follows the footsteps of firmware 3.01, which fixed game performance in Jeanne d'Arc. Of course, considering how neither of these games are available anywhere but Japan, most of you probably don't need to update your firmware at all.

NCAA Football 07 patch is on the way
A few days ago, we reported that many PSP owners had a game-ruining bug in their copy of EA's NCAA Football 2007. The aformentioned bug awarded yardage based on when the player gets tackled, without taking into account any momentum. This causes the short run nearly impossible, and changes how you play the sport completely. IGN thought the bug was so bad, that they actually re-reviewed the game, dropping it from an 8.3 to a 6.9. Well, it looks like EA's getting the message. They're planning on releasing a patch, something Madden PSP owners weren't fortunate enough to get on their buggy copies.While it's commendable that EA is working on a fix, a more reliable solution would be to not ship games that have game-wrecking bugs in them.
