Once again, the $35 Memory Stick returns! For some reason, Memory Stick prices have refused to drop any further. Thankfully, FRYS.com is making it a bit easier to get a large Memory Stick. Considering you can now download PS1 games, full PSP games and more on the PLAYSTATION Store, it seems like most everyone will want to upgrade. We're quite pleased with the amount of music, videos and demos the 4GB card can hold (although we're keeping an eye out on the 8GB Memory Stick!).Go to FRYS.com to take advantage of this great deal.

yeah, 4GB @ $35 bucks is a great deal, I can't wait for the 8GB to come down in price. I use my PSP as a MP3 player while I'm at work, and I love to download stuff from various PSP sites (this one, the Playstation Store, etc....)
I've currently got 2 - 1GB cards (which I paid $90 each for...)
boy do I feel like a sucker...

good for custom firmware users. Just not if you want to use the many plugins in the custom firmware.

Why don't the prx plugins work with this card?
So, no custom soundtracks, cheat codes, screenshots, ir anything else of that nature?

I don't know why they don't work. I just know I bought one of these cards about a year ago and no CFW plugins have ever worked. I didn't search a whole lot to find out why. I just started searching for a new memory card.

I bought a Lexar 2GB Memory Stick Duo in 2005, and it DIED about a year later. I don't know how, but it's basically fried and can't be accessed or formatted anymore. I only used it in my Sony Cybershot camera.
Anyway, from now on, I'm sticking only with true, "overpriced" Sony sticks...
