The video shows Travis driving his rig when he's attacked with some pretty disturbing mental images causing him nearly to careen off the road. We're not exactly sure why the rest of the video is shown playing on a PSP, which makes anyone with less than 20/20 vision struggle to see it. Perhaps Konami really wanted you to know this amazing game is running on the PSP?
Either way, Silent Hill: Origins is shaping up to be a no-brainer for any PSP owner, and the song was a great choice, too!

No thanks. I tried Silent Hill on the original PSX and even with a guide AND the lights on I was still scared. This would probably make me shriek like a little girl and drop my new slim on the floor.
I'll pass (ok, I'll probably get it, but I'll only play with the lights on).

I guess you also noticed that at the end it said Silent Hill Zero and not Origins?

Thats so awsome. This is my favorite survival horror franchise and from the looks of the trailer it looks like it'll creep me out just as much as the first one did or just as much as the first time I walked into a room and new that Pyramid Head thing was in it.
Im going to lock myself in a closet and play it through in the dark and quiet. I hope I crap my pants. :)

I have only played the silent hill games briefly but I dug the atmosphere. Is it like Resident Evil with big boss battles or is a more subdued game with less guns and more scares?

First time I played a Silent Hill game was last year and it was number 2. That game freaked me out mega bad and I even pussed out as much as to finish the last half of it during the day >_> Seriously though, 3 had more visually disturbing stuff but 2 the visuals just f-ed with my mind more, I felt close to panicing during a part or two. Haha, I hope Origins can come close to giving me that feeling I had while playing number 2.
And Akamaru Silent Hill = less guns and more defenseless than Resident Evil but focusing more on creating an environment straight out of a nightmare.

I think it looks fun however I do not think it looks like "beauty incarnate" in fact it looks really chunky and grainy. There are many PSP titles that are much much better looking.

Silent Hill typically does not have big boss battles, but focuses more on heavy creepy atmosphere with occasional outright scares. Although the emphasis isn't on combat the SH series always has had a decent amount of weapons, but not quite as many as the RE games.
As for the trailer, the game looks more and more promising every time I see it and it looks to be shaping up like a really solid entry in the series. Definitely better than the awful media released when it was first shown in-game.
FYI the singer's name is Elizabeth McGwynn, she did vocals in Silent Hill 3 and 4 OSTs. She's also done a bunch of voice acting for animation and whatnot. As for the name of the song I haven't a clue.
