Q: Is there anything that utilizes the PSP's infrared functionality?
A: There are no games that take advantage of PSP's infrared functionality. However, there are a few homebrew programs that do. For example, piKey lets you use a keyboard with your system. You can also transmit data and turn your system into a universal remote.
Q: Will there be any original JRPGs on PSP besides tactics RPGs and action RPGs?
A: It's true that PSP will be receiving many tactical and action RPGs, from Wild Arms XF to Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core. However, let's not forget that PSP is home to Monster Kingdom and The Legend of Heroes series. Brave Story should fit the bill nicely. Dragoneer's Aria looks pretty interesting as well. If you're interested in farming, Harvest Moon will be coming out soon as well.

Two tiny little questions after the break.
Q: Where I can get the $6 retro PS1 games for my PSP?
A: Unfortunately, the retro PS1 games for PSP are only available through the PLAYSTATION Store, which currently requires a PLAYSTATION 3. Sony intends on making a PSP-compatible version of the Store, but they haven't been forthcoming about when it will be available.
Q: Does Andrew use mods on his PSP?
A: No, not really. I do have custom firmware installed on one of my PSPs to allow me to take screen captures of games. I'm also planning on getting PSP2TV to record video footage of PSP games and share them with the PSP Fanboy community.

Peter Dille in October story linked above:
You are correct. We'll still have that. We have the PSP downloads site now, and you're right; these PS1 games will be available either from the PSP downloads site directly, so you don't need a PS3 to get them or if you do happen to be one of the lucky guys that gets a PS3, you can download the games to your PS3 hard drive and then slide it over to your PSP. Both services will be up and running.
Umm...It's MAY 5th now!

Key Of Heaven owns the aforementioned RPGs. Hehe. Not that those RPGs aren't cool. But we do need some of those epic, world spanning rpgs with a futuristic, and contemporary fantasy setting.

I agree Key of Heaven is a cool game. Its english voice acting kinda hurts my ears tho.
Anyway.
Maybe Crisis Core will fill that "Epic" gap. About Contemporary/Futuristic RPGs... I was kinda bummed when ATLUS decided to take the Megami Tensei formula and ditch the contemporary/futuristic feel for a common fantasy setting (Jewel Summoner) but I have high hopes that a Persona title will see the light on PSP eventually. Oh and Brave Story... man does that game look sweet. I NEED to know a US release date for that one. I hear it was picked up by XSeed?
