Casual games are getting more popular than Pokemon porn lately and so it shouldn't be any surprise that Diner Dash is coming to the PSP. For those unfamiliar with the game, it involves seating customers, picking up orders, serving food, getting paid, cleaning tables and keeping customers happy. Diner Dash started out as a highly popular flash game, but has spawned mobile and downloadable versions as well.
Judging from the few screens released, it looks simultaneously better and worse than its PC counterpart, which in of itself can be counted as a unique achievement. Plus, finally I can fulfill my desire to wait on annoying customers in a crowded restaurant and not get paid! But what's up with having to use a cursor on a PSP game? If I wanted to play Diner Dash on the PC, I'd already have upgraded from the Apple IIe I currently use.
Some PSP owners and non-owners believe the system needs more quick-play experiences. Will Diner Dash satisfy these people? Let's pretend like we care and await their response, when Diner Dash hits store shelves in May.

Oh come on! I can see the idea behind porting a JAVA Midlet for the PSP. But selling it on a UMD (as implied by the "hitting shelves" comment) is ludicrous. The demo on my cell phone doesn't even take up half a meg. And I'd never pay $40 for it. Sony better brighten up on this one, and, I don't know, make it a downloadable game. If they could fit all of the Loco Roco game engine and a complete level into 8 MB (not to mention what they've done with other demos), surely this game would run off an MSDuo just fine. This could be a launch game for, oh, say, the PLAYSTATION Store for PSP or computers... But no, we'll have to buy the UMD... I just hope my assumptions about what's happening is wrong.

If the PSP needs more quick-play, then give it "Cash, Guns, Chaos". That game is wicked.

Instead of this, Sony should release "Ore no Ryori Portable".

So I hope that makes you happy.
I do think 20 may be a bit much but after I played the PC version the game is a nice little game so its nice to see it coming out on the PSP.
