PSP owners aren't really hard pressed for another racing game, so Juiced Eliminator has that much more to prove coming right out of the gate. This isn't necessarily a mediocre game, the developers just have to step it up and make it shine in the midsts of other racing titles.
The demo level I tried out allowed me to set up all of the environmental conditions from the beginning. Rain, morning, night, sunshine and blue skies: the versatility here was a nice feature, but not uncommon to the genre. The controls were done well enough to keep your attention span, and the nitro boost added an extra level of speed. If only there was a way to get some back after using it all up. Overall, Juiced Eliminator is slightly above average, but hardcore racing fans might want to look elsewhere.
The real question is: Do PSP fans really want another racing game?

I know you're just playing Devil's advocate there, but if a game is good in its own right then I don't see why it should have to justify its existence. Yes there are a lot of racing games on the console, but the console is ideal for that type of game so it's only expected. There's also a lot of crap racing games - a good one is always welcome I think.

Yes, PSP fans want another racing game. But what we want is Gran Turismo Mobile.

I agree with #2, Gran Turismo...am I the only one that remembers the Gran turismo Mobile game UMD being pictured with the PSP before release? am I the only one that made my decision to purchase my PSP based on Gran Turismo Mobile??? I knew it would be pushed back, just like the rest of the series....Its Tradition if nothing else...

Another whining anti-PSP non-news junk piece. 'Do we need another racing game?' 'We don't have any original games' ... 'This pre-alpha game has problems...' (ad nauseum)
Thanks again for more PSP Pessimism, PSP FANBOY. Joystiq should change the site name to PSP HATEBOYS. It won't apparently make much difference in the press events you get access to...

Lol, I'm up there with pixelator..4 updates since E3 started, while QJ.net's PSP Updates had 20 news bulletins so far today. Fair if they don't have access to such coverage, but this anti-PSP attitude gets tiring.

Of course you guys have to write that, because YOU the writers wouldn't know the actual answer, and are definatly NOT PSP Fanboys.

You're right, Joystiq staff writers have definitely raised the whiner bar for an allegedly 'professional' online game magazine/blogsite. One glance at the Konami and Coded Arms blogs demonstrates that.
Hey Adam, maybe we could get more PSP updates and less crying about what sucks about the PSP, or Konami, or your readers?
On second thought, don't bother. Lots of other sites to get my PSP info from. Even DS Fanboy is a little slow lately. Ah, well.

Okay guys, here it is:
When we get our hands on something that
we think you need to know about, we're going to tell you like it is. If
we think it needs more mojo, we're going to tell you that. If we think
it's good, you'll hear it.
We don't sugar coat something that doesn't deserve it. Suck it up.
As far as the coverage on PSP Fanboy goes: did you ever consider checking the PSP subcat on Joystiq.com? All of our bloggers were under strict
responsibilities at the show, and that tied almost all of our posts to
the main site. I was the only PSP blogger sent from here too, btw.
Hope this clears up some dissent. If you feel compelled to discuss this further, please email me.

In other words, further criticism of PSP FANBOY will be DELETED. As my most recent post was (the second time that's happened).
Adam, you may be a volunteer for the website, but you should be able to weather the good with the bad without resorting to censorship. You can call what I'm doing here a rant if you want, but it doesn't change my valid points re: sarcastic references to the PSP (as though written by haters of the system).
Just get some writers who actually like the PSP. It's pretty simple. We don't want blind loyalty, but there should be some middle ground possible, no?

BTW - if there were 'strict responsibilities' on bloggers (nondisclosure?) forcing less coverage on the FANBOY sites, why then did the DS FANBOY site have so much more coverage?
I don't think it was exclusivity agreements, I think it's because you guys prefer DS.

You can watch the site do downhill on the rainbow coloured square (site meter), just click on "Year" and you can see how many viewers have stopped reading this site.
It's time to stop riding off the Joystiq label, and put some information worth reading.. not week old news off PSP Updates.

Maybe they need more bloggers? Or just more time? You can't tell them what is better and what is worst
