Korean rhythm game fans are going to love this. Both Pump It Up EXCEED Portable and Pump It Up Zero Portable are available at import retailer Play-Asia this week for only $20. Imports rarely come cheap, so getting two games for such an incredibly low price is a deal we simply can't refuse. For the unfamiliar, the Pump It Up series is a popular music game, similar to Bemani's DDR series. Arrows go towards the top of the screen, and the player must hit the buttons in tandem with the music. Although, we're wondering: could this handheld game possibly be as fun as the arcade originals?

Nice find Andrew. I tried out the demo for this, and it was not my cup of tea. When I d/l the demo from PSP Demo Center, Based on the name, I thought it was a music creation "game" like Traxxpad.

Sounds like you're talking about the demo for DJ Max, not Pump it Up (though they sound like very similar games)

I... I can't imagine how portable version of PiU could be all that fun 0_o . (I love PiU by the way. A bit more than DDR actually.)
Well... the backgrounds and music are great, so I guess it would work in a way but... without the steps it seems like it is merely a shadow of itself...
