Sony issues consumer alert: PC PSN illegally accessed
It is very likely this is just a small incident; however, it is a smart idea to stay cautious. To verify that your account is intact, sign into the PSN with your pre-set password. If you are successful, then your account is not affected by the incident. Currently, Sony is contacting customers who may have been affected. You can find more information about that at Sony's Knowledge Center.

I would think that since the PSP has been cracked open via the Homebrew scene then the same thing would have been possible.

The homebrew scene does not condone (is that the right word?) piracy. That does not stop pirates from using the system for illegal purposes though, f**king pirates.

lol DMeisterJ they do acknowledge it's existence every Thursday by providing us with crap. What they need to acknowledge is what the consumer actually wants.
I actually received the email on my sub-account that has no privilege's. I thought the email was a scam at first, the email that was provided didn't seem like a typical "Sony" email address.
