Supposedly, the PSP version of Oblivion was supposed to come out next month. But, considering the complete lack of updates on this highly anticipated game, we were skeptical, to say the least. Looks like the game's been pushed back ... all the way to September. GameStop is reporting the ship date as 9/3, a delay as massive as the game itself. Hopefully, this will go a long way in improving its quality.

I don't really play my PSP all that often, but just how the crap is this game supposed to play? As a first person game, no less? I just can't imagine Oblivion without dual analog controls.

This game needs to be done right. A delay is fine with me as long as they polish it (and the controls) to the point where people can say it's worthy of the series. If so, it'll be yet another undeniable (except to the Nintendo fanboys) feather in the PSPs cap.

"The latest issue of OPM has a feature on the newly announced The Elder Scrolls Travels: Oblivion title for PSP, along with the first images of the game.
Unlike its big brother on 360/PS3/PC, Oblivion on PSP will be a dungeon-crawler -- no wide-open landscapes here. According to executive producer Todd Howard, the game will feature 10 large levels that look much like areas in the console versions, but are more concentrated. "
why couldnt they just port daggerfall with some updates visuals? would have been so much better of a game, esp since daggerfall si still the best of all fo them. Heck even if they kept the old graphcis and proted daggerfall + arena it would be still better than this. Dont they lsiten to their fanbase at all ebfore making a game? Or are they the new sega, "hey lets make a enw sonic game with sonic holding a gun, nobody asked for it but who cares."
heck even shadowkey on the ngage is probably better than this lol. do you think if we bombard them with emails and get a bunch of other boards to as well they would change their minds and remake this?

I think that Oblivion was the most over-rated game of 2006 and not a very good 'RPG' (but a very good action game), but I still hold out high hopes for this - as pixelator says it needs to be done right, and BethSoft is *always* late ... I just hope they get it done nicely.
