The answer is yes, if Capcom official board posts are to be believed. No longer will Monster Hunter fans have to be jealous of their friends in Japan. The Capcom senior community member OrleanKnight goes on to say that the sequel will unsurprisingly be called Monster Hunter Freedom 2 and will be out sometime later this year. While this isn't official confirmation, Capcom staff did not deny the claims on the board. I know our readers love this game (judging from comments), so let's hope this all is true.

Well if they bring it to the US and the EU they will sell around 200-300 k copys , so for thet amount a small textwork its not a big deal and it worth it .

I had a link to the complete list of sales figures previously ... I wish I knew what it was ... because I'm pretty sure that the first Monster Hunter PSP game sold like crap here.

Check GAMEFAQ.... MH:F is the top message board for the PSP. Bigger than GTA or anything else.

I've wasted nearly 200 hours on the first game until I realized I could never become truly powerful playing the game by myself. I know there are ways to play online but I've tried and it's cumbersome. Unless Monster Hunter 2 has infrastructure play it will be a worthless purchase.

I agree. Also, the controls for character manipulation could use some improvement.
MH Freedom had a f'n pain-in-the-ass learning curve! But once you were able to get past that, the game was lots of fun to play. Still, trying to slay some of those prehistoric monsters by myself just seemed too tedious and frustrating. I just wish i could have had help dealing with some of those beasts. Geesh!
Thus no infrastructure, no purchase of game!

Well it is being reported that the game will NOT have infrastructure, so it looks like we do have something to be jealous about after all:

Well looks like there's no more point in waiting for the game if it has no infrastructure

Well, about the comments before mine:
The Japanese version also doesn't have infrastructure... so, nothing to be jelous about.
About the topic itself... I'VE SEEN IT! MONSTER HUNTER FREEDOM 2 on Capcom's website!
I can say I was VERY lucky, because for some strange reason, they took it out. I guess they weren't expecting anyone to find out before the game was announced. Fortunately, I took a screenshot of it and I can send the file to you guys (pspfanboy.com) so you may add to this topic or maybe create another one. Like I said, they took it out, but the page even have a few screenshots and you can look around Capcom and Gamefaqs/Gamespot boards and see that people actually saw it too.
