Our good friends at Siliconera have posted up a direct-feed (not-shaky-cam) version of the hotly anticipated Final Fantasy Tactics trailer. Does this really need any more introduction?

Anyone know when this game releases here in the states?
This game alone (and the upcoming Crisis Core) , is tempting me to buy a PSP =0)
Also, I've heard so many bad things about the PSP gamewise, what are the "must play" titles on this system?
Thanks.

I dont know if it's actually true, but my friend told me that he heard that Final Fantasy Tactics for PSP is a Japan-only thing. I know that Crisis Core will be released here, but I dont know when.

Just go look up Metacritic, Gamerankings or some other site. While you're there, compare the number of highly rated titles on the PSP to the DS. The people who say 'bad things gamewise' about the PSP are basically Sony hating Nintendo fanboys, most of whom have never even picked up a PSP in the first place.

I'd rather get a port of FF7, but I'll take this.
My eyes are bleeding from the horrible graphics of FFIII on DS (and yet I can't put the damned thing down).

Verdugo I hope you are joking have you looked at what games are out on the PSP. Even if you are a DS fanboy you can not say Pursuit Force, Syphon Filter, Metal Gear Solid, GTA the list goes on and on so to say the games are bad is just wrong.
As for this game I really hope this comes out in North America. I loved this game on the PS1 and I know I will love this over here.

Verdugo, a lot of negative stigma towards the PSP developed in its first year of existence, where it lacked a well-rounded library with little stand-out titles. That stigma has carried on into its second year now, even though most the issues that people bash it for are resolved. It has a higher rated library (on average) than the DS does, load times are improving and as we've seen from games like Daxter can be almost completly eliminated.
It has several stand out games now, like Lumines, Lumines 2, Daxter, Megaman: Powered Up, Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, Tales of Eternia, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, Exit, Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror, Killzone: Liberation, Socom: Fireteam Bravo 2, Wipeout Pure...
And as you can see, there are several more great looking games in the pipeline including FFT: Lion War, FF7: Crisis Core, Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters, Full Auto 2, and After Burner... I'm sure I'm missing others too. :D

@Verdugo
I'd say the must play games are Loco Roco, Lumines, and Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops.
Other fun games are Killzone: Liberation, GTA: Vice City Stories, SOCOM Fireteam Bravo, Tekken: Dark Resurrection, and Gitaroo-Man.
