I'm loving every single moment of Elite Beat Agents on DS, but once Final Fantasy III and Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin come out, what else will DS owners have to look forward to this holiday season? Not much, according to the self-proclaimed DS fanboy at BC Gaming. "Both systems have major releases for this holiday, but the PSP has a quantity this time around ... You see, I am not a fan of hardware, but of software. Furthermore, it is crystal clear that Sony has brought a royal flush to the table, while Nintendo is left holding only a high pair."
Ken Edwards points to games like Killzone, GTA, SOCOM, Lumines, E3, Gitaroo Man, Sonic and Metal Gear Solid as reasons why the PSP's holiday lineup is so much better this year. Regardless, he admits that this won't help Sony in the end: "Unfortunately, this is not going to mean a lot for Sony, as the install base of PSP systems is nowhere near that of the DS - quite sad, yet very true."

I thought the DS intall base was only way bigger in Japan.
Though it may not be as big as the DS, the holidays are coming up, and I could see people getting PSPs for that lineup (or just Metal Gear), especially with PS3s hard to come by and the console prices in general. There's always cheap people! There's also the PSP/PS3 connectivity, for someone who's looking to get a PS3 when they are freely available.

Playing Elite Beat Agents felt like playing Guitar Hero for the first time. Which is to say, awesome.

The PSP line rocks,& Player 1 The DS is massive in Japan around 4 DS for 1 PSP in Japan,in Europe the PSP was in the lead comfortly but then DS Lite came out in boasting sales of DS so DS is slightly ahead in Europe,& in the US the PSP was catching up the DS in sales very fast but again the DS Lite has pushed the DS ahead by a bit.The DS has sold around 24-25 million while the PSP has sold between 20-22 million.

The PSP is not even far as back as you all think , and yes , your right , the PSP is still pretty darn close in EU , maybe even , in the US is close to , the only big place for the DS is in Japan . Now , the game lineup is greate for the PSP this holyday , and if next year Sony gets a redesigned PSP , than tables could turn easily 8)

Aww, love for Ken! Ken's a great guy.
Now I'm gonna go kick him in the face. Look what you did, Andrew! You're inciting violence. For shame.

Hey look, *some* DS owners can give some credit where due even if it's not their device of choice. Cool!
