If you enjoyed Alex Kidd on the Sega Genesis, you're sure to be salivating by now after just watching the above video. Alex Kidd, which was Sega's first answer to Mario, is one of nearly 30 old-school Genesis games making their way onto the PSP in the form of Sega Genesis Collection. The game comes packed with extras like exclusive interviews, behind-the-scenes footage and wireless multiplayer modes.
What more can a Sega Fanboy ask for? Yeah, I said it.

I remember Alex Kidd (surprisingly) but not for the Genesis. I remember it for the Sega "Master System." All I remember is running around and socking it to strange baddies with a giant mutant fist and playing predictable games of Rock-Paper-Scissors. I also remember a couple of horrable sequels for the master system.
Was the Genesis version a remake or another horrible sequel?
I'm looking forward to Phantasy Star 4.
I hear they were remaking that as well. Any chance of that coming to the states?

Alex Kidd originally came out on the Master System. I remember buying Alex Kidd in Miracle World on the SMS at Toys 'R' Us with my older bro. The version shown above (and included with the Sega Collection on PSP is Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle. It wasn't a remake.
God, I'm old.

This is so crazy!
I remember playing this game on the Sega Master when I was in first grade! I remember it being my favorite game I would never get bored of it. I could never save it so everytime I played it I started from level one but I never got to finish it. I can't remember much from it. I can't wait for an encounter after almost 15 years.
