Maybe all this talk about a PSP redesign is from all these new colors of the PSP that are being revealed at once. You may remember Sony's insanely expensive Signature PSPs. Well, add another new "limited edition" color to the mix: pink. Or, should I say p!nk, because it's designed "in collaboration" with the somewhat popular pop star. It'll come in a Value Pack only and cost €229, or £169. And yes, like many cool things Sony-related, this is solely Europe-only. You'll also pick up some exclusive downloads from YourPSP.com when you purchase the pink system. From the press release: "PSP is not exclusively for men, there is a PSP for everyone, and whoever you are, PSP can fit into your life."
I'm somehow doubting the limited edition nature of this package. You may remember that all hell broke loose once the pink DS Lite came out. Who wouldn't want to capitalize on the rabid girl market? Of course, Sony's done stranger things before... like refuse to bring the white PSP to the US.

Seeing as how the UK is getting a pink PS2, this comes as no surprise.

It's just stupid that we aren't getting the other colors. Sony needs to stop ignoring and snubbing the USA market, or they're going to lose it like they have the Japanese market, worse than they already have (to the DS).

Seems like Sony tries to copy the success of the coloured Nintendo DS consoles. Lets see if they succeed. Personally I think one thing is missing to make this an equal success. The cute girly games. The first Nintendo DS Phat was sold in a pink package with the cute dog simulator Nintendogs... Sony will at least have to pull something equal up from their magic hat

I want to know why people like Kaiser go to this and say negative things, you're only getting negative feedback.
It's unfortunate that the Pink PSP isnt coming to the US, I think it would do fairly well amongst both female and male.
I know I'd buy one if I hadn't bought one the day it came out C: PSP Fanboy and proud

Tequila Mockingbird: I'm not negative, I'm just very honest. PSP, and Sony's Playstation consoles in general, are known for their macho mature games like FPS, Beat'em'up, racing and all that kind of games. There are no bunny simulators to stimulate the female PSP buyers. So I think Sony tries to pull the same thing of as Nintendo. But I also think that they have forgot to make some cute cuttle games for the girls as well. And I seriously doubt that that many men are gonna buy a pink PSP. How many men have you seen wearing around a pink Nintendo DS? I think other colours, or themes would be better, and maybe do the trick. So in my eyes, selling a pink PSP is like selling a pink Desert Eagle

Honestly I am a female gamer who loves pink. I understand how some people would get upset because their favorite color isn't being released. Maybe you should try to write a comment to sony. I mean it's worth a shot. You might get ignored but then again I'm sure if alot of people would do the same then you might get somewhere.
