One of my main complaints about the PSP and portable games in general has always been their price. I don't believe most games are worth a penny more than $30, and I even said so earlier today. So I was surprised to find out Gamestop is offering Every Extend Extra and Lumines II for $30 preorder.
I think this is a great move by Buena Vista and Q-Entertainment, especially with Sony rumored to be cutting the price of the PSP to $150. Hopefully, both games sell like hotcakes and other publishers see that cheaper games can make a big difference in how well a game can sell and follow suit.
Both games are scheduled to ship Nov. 7, 2006, and remember, you're wallet speaks loudest.

Ofcourse its nice too see cheap and great games on the psp. But I dont think that price point will spread, since there is an important difference between these Q games and other games.
Both Lumines and Every Extend Extra. Doesnt cost squat too produce, they are really cheap games. The only expensive things are the music/theme part.
Plus Lumines Live which is essentially the same as Lumines 2. Is going too retail for less than 30 dollars.

Yep, I'll definitely be hittin up that Lumines Live (which btw is the EXACT same game) for about half the price (1200 MS Points / $15.00 USD) on my 360. Gotta love digital distribution. :D

Lumines 2...
I have a feeling that I'm not going to like it as much with those licensed songs. I didn't mind the first game's music since it was all generic tunes. As a fan of metal, I'm not sure that I'll be bopping my head to Hoobastank.

Glad to see Sony finally getting into the area of portable pricing. So far I haven't paid for a psp (beleive it or not some of those freebie sites work) but if I had to, I probably would've skipped it. That thing was too damn expensive at launch and so are the games.
I think the main problem with psp game pricing is that many believe they have to use the same ammount resources to develope for the psp. While they can, some of the coolest games coming out for the psp (every extend extra & loco roco) were also probably very cheap to produce.
