If you're like me, then you like to buy your games on the cheap. And you can't get much cheaper than Circuit City and its $17 clearance on a bunch of PSP games.

While the core message of the news
is pretty much contained within the headline above, the fact is that we're so gosh-darned excited that Street
Fighter is finally getting the video treatment on the PSP. After the dust settles, 29 episodes of the Street
Fighter II V animated series will be on store shelves, although that may not be for a few more months since
they're only planning on releasing Volume 1-5 for the first batch. Capcom is also readying Street Fighter Alpha:
The Movie for release during the second quarter as well. These UMDs will sell for $19.99 when they hit retail.
The last Capcom fighter to land on the PSP, Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower, brought some much needed fighting spirit to the launch lineup, considering that there wasn't much to pick from at the time. Longtime fans of 2D fighters should start their rejoicing then, because the progenitor to all those dopey, wannabe cartoon-type brawlers just found its way to the handheld.
There’s somewhat of a dearth of
quality fighting games on the PSP. Well, there’s honestly a lack of most everything on our goshdarned little
console (except racing games – we got plenty of those) but we’re happy to report that IGN’s happy to
report that the forthcoming Street Fighter Alpha Max 3 is coming along very nicely. According to the preview,
there’s a ton of features to play around with in the game, and even with the presence of multiple characters
onscreen, slowdown is next to non-existent.
