MGS: Portable Ops gets clearance pricing at Circuit City

If you're even remotely interested in picking up Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Plus, you may want to consider rushing to a Circuit City. The original MGS:PO is needed to play the expansion pack -- thankfully, it's now in Clearance at Circuity City. This means copies will be hard to find -- but if you can find the elusive game, it'll only cost $16.96 (plus tax). Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror, Tomb Raider Legends, and Infected are some other noteworthy titles at the same reduced price.

This PSP fighter includes 20 characters, multiple gameplay modes ... and can be found for cheap at Circuit City. $13 (plus shipping) will allow you to take the game home.

The game received generally favorable reviews, earning a Metacritic score of 78.

Deal of the Day: Circuit City brings cheap gaming

It looks like Circuit City is having a sale on a wide assortment of PSP titles. While you can peruse them all, we have a few recommendations for you:
May we recommend Chili Con Carnage? Steve reviewed the game, noting the "long campaign with loads of hilarious, cool and memorable experiences." Circuit City offers free shipping with orders over $25, so you may want to pick up more than one game from this list.

Deal of the Day: Rockstar gets really cheap

This week's circulars are highlighting the PSP price drop, and some fantastic deals on some great Rockstar games. The Warriors, which received a prestigious 8.5 review from PSP Fanboy, is getting even cheaper, dropping down to a mere $15 at Circuit City. Sure, it's a port--but it's a mighty fine game on the handheld.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories is also entering the Best Buy bargain bin this week: it'll be available for a mere $20. Who said PSP games had to be expensive?

Deal of the Day: Circuit City's UMD blowout

Circuit City is finally getting rid of those dusty UMDs sitting on its shelves: this week, you can buy 2 selected UMD titles for only $10. The partial list includes titles such as:
  • Bad Boys
  • Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
  • Once Upon a Time in Mexico
  • Black Hawk Down
  • Jerry Meguire
  • Men in Black
There are 16 titles to choose from. At this price, the UMD format almost seems quite viable.

Best Buy
Killzone Liberation for $40 $30
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories for $50 $30
Luxor for $30 $20

Circuit City
ATV Offroad Fury for $40 $30
Killzone Liberation for $40 $30
Gangs of London for $40 $30
SOCOM Fireteam Bravo 2 for $40 $30

Deals of the Day: cheap Memory Sticks and more

There are a ton of great post-Thanksgiving deals at retailers everywhere.
It's a little depressing for people like myself who remember how costly Memory Sticks were at the PSP launch. My measly 256MB card cost as much as the 2GB does now!

PSP Spot download stations head to the US

Circuit City, GameStop, Target, and Toys "R" Us will be receiving the PlayStation Spot service later this month. Japanese and European PSP owners have been enjoying this wireless download service for the past few months. According to IGN, the American versions of these kiosks will stream "game demos, movie trailers, music clips, mini-strategy guides, wallpapers and more" to your PSP.

The first set of available downloads will be quite extensive. Outrun, Worms, Dungeon Siege, MLB 2006, Ultimate Ghosts and Goblins, Lumines 2, Every Extend Extra, Race Driver 2006, and Daxter will all be available at the program's launch. By January 2007, the service is expected to expand to 6000 retail locations.

Deal of the Day: Free 256MB Memory Stick Pro Duo at Circuit City

Deal of the Day: Free 256MB Memory Stick Pro Duo at Circuit City
While a 256MB Memory Stick may not hold a lot of data, especially if you're trying to play full-resolution movies on your PSP, it's hard to argue about something's worth when it's free. And right now Circuit City is offering a 256MB SanDisk Memory Stick Pro Duo for $30 with a $30 mail-in rebate.

All you have to do is buy the Memory Stick, fill out the form and mail it in. Not too hard, eh?

There's a one-rebate limit here so don't get any funny ideas of buying tons of these and unloading them on ebay.

Deal of the Day: $17 PSP games at Circuit City

Deal of the Day: $17 PSP games at Circuit CityIf you're like me, then you like to buy your games on the cheap. And you can't get much cheaper than Circuit City and its $17 clearance on a bunch of PSP games.

Here's the list:

Burnout Legends
Death Jr.
FIFA World Cup 2006
Lumines
Mega Man: Powered Up
Midway Arcade Treasures
Namco Museum Battle Collection
NBA Ballers Rebound
Pinball Hall of Fame
Ridge Racer
SSX On Tour
Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max
WWE Smackdown vs. Raw

Yeah, most of these games are a tad old, but we gotta take the deals as they come to us, right? It doesn't look like this deal is currently being offered online, so you'll have to get off the computer and go outside.

Deal of the Day: Madden for $28

The deals just keep on coming. Easily the most high-profile game to come out this week, Madden 07, is available for dirt cheap at Circuit City. The game has earned a solid 8.0 from IGN, and most likely doesn't feature the horrible glitches of NCAA Football. $28 is a great price to satiate football fans, until next year's minor upgrade installment.
