Engadget unboxes PSP-3000
So you've probably already seen the dismantled Japanese PSP Brite and took a look at what's underneath that shiny exterior. Now, how about watching the North American bundle get unboxed? While the Engadget crew has opted out of tearing their precious handheld apart, we do get to have a comprehensive look at all the goods inside the retail box. If you're planning on getting a PSP Brite for yourself, then check out the pics here and see what awaits.

Interesting.... Ask them to plug it in and tell us what they think about the scanlines and interlacing issues. Is anyone going to cover this?!!!

I believe in CNET's review they did. Here's the link:

Nowhere in that article or video do I see or hear any mention of the scanlines or interlacing issues. Did I miss something?

Maybe I'm in the minority, but my PSP 3000 is sitting right next to me and has experienced none of those issues.
Oh, well.

This is probably a stupid question - sorry, but can you download rented or purchased tv shows and movies on the psp? The article makes it sound like you can. I thought that was for ps3 only. If its for psp also, that will make airport layovers a lot better!

Release a white one in the US Sony! That's the only reason holding me back, because I know you will eventually, and I want it!

Has anyone besides me gets annoyed by those poorly made sliding borders around the screen? That's one hell of a terrible faceplate if you ask me. I upgraded from PSP phat to Slim & Lite, and this is the only thing that's bothering me. It distorts the screen around the edges. Problem is mine is at the left edge, so it's so asymmetrical. Is a one-piece faceplate difficult to make, stupid Sony?

Yes you can but you have to download them from the PS3 store to a PS3 first then they are transferable to the PSP. If you have no PS3 then the only way to do it is to rip movies and tv shows onto your PSP via specilized software. ATM there is no way to download Movie's & TV shows directly off the PSP Store wirelessly.
