Curious about the new Go!View on-demand style video service launched in the UK and Ireland? Having trouble downloading from the service? Oh, you are not in the UK or Ireland but you are nosy? Either way, Pocket Gamer has a nifty step-by-step guide to the service just for people like you. It tells you how to go about everything from downloading the PC client to a number of possible errors you might encounter. Check it out here.

What the hell? Sounds like this is nothing but a Microsoft OS only desktop application that you use to download video to your Microsoft OS based PC then upload to your PSP using the Microsoft OS only desktop application. I was under the impression Go!View steamed content to Sony's PSP without Microsoft acting as a middleman.

Do you have an intel mac? If so then what's the problem? (Unless you are using linux, but there is a windows emulator for that too)

Really now. What a stupid argument. It's like saying that you're immune to viruses because you're on a Mac.
I'm a *nix user strictly, and I see opportunity and ability to use this service.
But remember, 90% of the boxes (Computers) out there come preinstalled or with WinBlows.
It's great, and very useful. But it teaches you to click alot, kinda like a child pets a cat too hard.

andwhyisit, why do you turn a blind eye to the fact that one would have to in fact buy Microsoft products in your scenerio? you actually sound as if you don't know what an emulator is (note: they are not operating systems unto themselves and in order to run a Microsoft OS you need to supply it to the emulator)

OneMale, I'm not sure why you brought up viruses, do you equate Microsoft with them? Also your presumption that the majority of consumer desktops are Microsoft based is naive. They are most common in the cubicle, not necessarily home.
Besides you are missing the point. No matter what OS is required, this Go!View service is silly if not dumb. All that should be required is the PSP.

The real point in all of this is moot. Why does Sony Keep going through another party (Microsoft) to even deliver content? I've downloaded demos from websites before so I don't see any reason they can't just program some sort of download service directly into the damn PSP.
Also it's getting a bit irritating that the US seems to NEVER get any of these services that are worth using. We got the Playstation Movie store that has a fat lot of nothing on it.
