Some screenshots from the follow-up of the Japanese cult-hit Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida have shown up over at Siliconera. The sequel's name is Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida or2, and the fundamental gameplay hasn't changed much. You are still an evil overlord maintaining an underground lair with heroes trying to drag you above ground and vanquish you. Now you have access to more monsters, four times the levels, face new heroes and have a world map to explore. All of this will complicate the lair you must maintain in order to keep your monsters healthy and heroes out of your evil lair. We never knew being your own boss was so complicated.

goddamit! japan is getting the sequel soon, and the US doesn't even have the first game!
can't any publisher just pick this up and publish it stateside!? they only need to look at it to see that its a great game, and a perfect one for a portable system.

I believe a game like this would have trouble making any sales around here...

Agreed, though it could find some success with aggressive pricing (Patapon) or as a PSP Store download exclusive (Echocrome).
Really want to try it out too, looks like good fun. Hope it sees a western release.

I recently got the first game (in japanese) and I have to say, it is something like patapon or locoroco was, it is very innovative!
I love this game. Especially with the many ways you can go about playing it through. It sports a new challenge that, to some may seem boring, but I am having a lot of fun with this game
