Secret Agent Clank is finally releasing this week on PSP systems. This handheld offering is the greatest departure for the series yet, taking Clank and friends through new gameplay sequences, such as the dance featured here. Will these minigames add, or take away, from the charm the Ratchet series is known for? We'll find out soon enough.

A part of me hates these sorts of things, or anything requiring attention on a sequence or menu, since I want to see what's going on, but if I do, I'll screw up. At least there's nothing big going on during the input segment.

I'm in complete agreement. These kinds of things work better on consoles, where others can watch the video results while you focus on the gameplay. I felt like I was missing out during this portion of the demo because I was watching that little bar at the bottom.
\Patapon nailed this type of mechanic for a handheld. Because you were initiating memorized sequences, you never had to look away from the action. Very enjoyable.

I agree with you guys, but atleast you can see the little cut scenes without any distractions

I played the demo, and I'm not really impressed. The "Dancing" mini-game through the Museum was pretty annoying, and just a little too cute for me.
Don't get me wrong, some of the "use Clank to do this" mini-games in R&C Future were a nice break from the action, but I have a feeling they're going to get old pretty quick in Secret Agent.

Played the demo. Loved it. Very tight gameplay. Right up to the dancing part. Bleh. Way to ruin a perfectly great game.
