Atlus is sending more love to PSP on September 16th, as it releases the PSP version of Yggdra Union. Originally released on Game Boy Advance, the PSP version adds completely remastered audio and visuals, featuring the art of Satoko Kiyuzuki. Fully voice dialogue in both Japanese and English, widescreen support, additional difficulty settings and new unlockable content are all added for the American PSP release of this RPG. This looks to be quite a remarkable localization, we must admit.
Check out the first screenshots in our brand new gallery, and stay tuned for more in the coming months.
Update: Okay, so not everything is fully voiced. Atlus' Aram Jabbari noted that "there is some in-battle dialogue that is not voiced." We're not complaining, Aram! Things sound good.

Mmm... the graphics look so crispy for psp. Man, I wish I hadn't gotten so far on the GBA version.

Am I the only one who thinks the most impressive part of this is the voice acting? Compared to the typical VA its absolutely amazing.

Agreed. I typically hate what they do with the English voice acting .. but I was fairly impressed with what they sampled here. Fairly impressed, indeed.

Are you guys watching the same trailer I am? The visual looked pretty poor, in my opinion, especially the stuff on the tactical board, what is this, super nintendo? Anyway, graphics from just about anything in the last year totally blow this away. Maybe I'm just spoiled by Jeanne D'Arc, Crisis Core, GOW, and Brave Story....

Maybe I would've been disappointed with the graphics, if it wasn't for the fact that this was originally designed for GBA. The graphics look alright to me.

Yeah, Nate it IS a port so you do have to look at it in a certain way. For a GBA port it's looking very solid and the voiceovers are phenomenal.
But, the anime style is a little too cutesy for my taste.

Cool. Glad Atlus officially announced this. Was considering importing this one, but I don't have to now. Personally, I don't care about English voices. Definitely glad Atlus is giving us the original Japanese track. Wonder if it'll work like Riviera and you can only select voices when you load up the game...
