Besides echochrome (which I think is a tad bit overpriced) this update is weak. Why is it that ever since the PS3 Store got that redesign, the PSP's Store has been considerably weaker?

Very weak. I see no reason why Sony cannot AT LEAST put one PS classic a week on the store. Japan gets 3-5 a week, we're lucky to get 1 a quarter.
