Who's actually surprised by this one? The on-again off-again Gran Turismo Mobile project for PSP has been canceled so many times, we can't keep track anymore. According to IGN, it looks like retailer Gamestop is finally returning pre-order monies, due to "vendor cancellation." Supposedly, Polyphony wants to work on the PSP GT, but only when they're done with the massive Gran Turismo 5 on PS3. Who knows when that'll happen?Sorry to be such a dream killer, folks.

That sucks. I bought the PSP at launch and this game was supposed to come out soon after. I guess I'll stick to playing PS1 Gran Turismo 2 on my PSP.

this was supposed to be a launch title. it was one of the deciding factors in me buying a PSP a little while after launch. well Polyphony Digital did say that they are stopping this until they finish Gran Turismo 5. so hopefully they will start it up again because i would love to have some Gran Turismo on the go. (i used to have custom firmware and Gran Turismo 2 but my PSP seemed to be acting up so i upgraded to official firmware, no problems since.)
