Already have a MicroSD card (used in many portable devices, such as cell phones)? Then, you may be interested in picking up SuccessHK's MicroSD adapter, which will let the card fit snugly into the PSP. Beyond cross-platform compatibility, you'll get access to cheaper memory. For example, we found a 6GB card for only $85 on amazon.com.

[Update: A reader has chimed in, saying the device is unreliable. "The Memory Stick read light just blinks with an error and the card never comes up. Kind of a bummer." A bummer, indeed.]

Well, ain't that swell! I should get one, and at $5.03, that's a pretty good deal. Hmm...

Shipping from HK is going to take a while. There are 2 sellers on ebay in the USA selling the same thing. I'd get from a USA buyer.

for homebrewers, does the SD load prx files very well? i know that the cheaper lexer pro duos can't handle it.

Is the PSP compatible with over 4 gig cards? I've been hearing mixed information on that.

The original firmware did not support memory over 4 gigs, but that has since been rectified.

Nice! Most of my other gadgets use SD, so having a MicroSD option is definitely an advantage.

I received mine on Monday and it works fine with my PSP slim and a 2GB microSD card. About an hour ago, I brought it into my local Best Buy and got them to let me try it with a 4GB microSDHC card, but it didn't work. The Memory Stick read light just blinks like there is an error and the card never comes up. Kind of a bummer; I was hoping to be able to use that 6GB microSDHC card with it.

It should be noted that these microSD adapters work with the first generation microSD cards (SD 1.0) and not the HC microSD cards or microSDHC cards (SD 2.0). Custom plugins (prxs) work fine with these adaters (using SD1.0 microSD cards)
