The first game gets a new battle system that better resembles the action-oriented ones found in the latter two titles, along with updated sprites and backgrounds. The second title gets similar upgrades, but will also feature facial pop-ups when a character talks (just imagine any anime or Gust-inspired RPG). Sadly, the story in the second one will still suck. Yes, we said it. The second disc was a killer for momentum -- too many fetch quests and sidetracking before the final battle, if you ask us. Regardless, the games were very good, so we'll definitely try these out. Perhaps we'll get a hands-on at Tokyo Game Show. Perhaps not.

are you mad!!?? secondary story is what got me into rpgs, it was brilliant. tons of different endings and diff sidequests to attain certain characters. the replayability of that game is better than a FF game could ever hope for

Hopefully it's better then StarOcen:End of time or whatever the last Ps2 one was called It sucked ass,. was boring as hell and the cutscenes were murder the dialog and voice acting sucked.

step two get the polygonal dragon thing
step three get nature boy (optional)
step four get reporter (optional)
step five beat each of the 4 caves of ...
step six defend fun city
step seven go to the marina
step eight fly to the tower and defeat the ten
congrats you beat the game.
SO2 is the best in the series, followed by SO, SO:BS, then the abysmal pile of shit SO3 takes the bottom of the bottom. SO3 is one of the worst games ever made.

Freaking haters, Til the End of Time is one of the best RPGs I played on the Playstation 2. Name a couple of RPGs better and you can color me stupid. Let's see... gee Final Fantasy X, to an extent maybe Final Fantasy XII, uh... that's it? Dragon Warrior? If I could spend more time wasting mjy life talking to church members to save... Rogue Galaxy? BORING. I can't actually think of any other RPGs for the Playstation 2.
