Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core is one of my most anticipated games, even though it's surrounded by complete mystery. (Of course, I'm one of those types that pays attention to anything that has the words "Final" and "Fantasy" together.) I know many of you are just as desperate for new info and screens on this game as I am, and any miniscule bit we can find only makes us hunger for more. TGBus.com has discovered two new scans, filled with copious amounts of kanji. There are two new screens to admire (pictured above), and they look absolutely amazing (assuming they're in-game, and not CG).
If you'd like to act as a translator for us, take a peek after the cut and help us decipher these scans. Maybe they'll reveal thrilling insights into the game. Or, maybe they'll give you tips on how to make your hair as snazzy as Cloud's.

Is it because of this game that Square-Enix is not even supporting the PSP anymore? Yeah Valkyrie Profile was nice but where the hell is our spin offs? Even another port will do fine, just give us a damn game Square! I'm I the only one to notice this?

Aerith and the One-Winged Angeal - scenes that bother us
Let's talk about the movie they showed at the Tokyo Game Show, which was essentially a spruced up version of what we saw at E3. Besides HP, MP, AP and SP indications, we also saw a slot-like thing on the top-middle portion of the screen, with three rotating mug-shots. It seems like different buttons have been assigned to do different things - the triangle button meaning 'Attack' and the circle button is 'Item', etc. Although we are still unsure how exactly it works, it looks like we'll have a taste of an all new battle system to enjoy.
Meantime, we also saw Aerith in the event movie. After Zax fell through the roof of the church and saw Aerith, his first words to her was, "Angel...". There was a scene of Aerith gently holding a crying Zax from behind, as he sits on the church floor. Then the shocking scene of Angeal bellowing "What kind of dreams should angels see?" as a single wing erupts from the back of his right shoulder. What's more, we see a new character, all wrapped in red, who appears to be the one called Genesis! His words in the movie: "Shut up already, puppy Zax!" Zax also says something - he says, "They've both done nothing but betrayed me... ever since I came to that house...". What does he mean, 'both'? Could he have already felt the tragedy that Sephiroth and Angeal would be stirring up? Contrasting the constant aura of unease with the light mood of new love, the movie plays almost ethereally.

These men - trapped between the tragedy of their destiny and future
Sephiroth, Angeal and Genesis. How do these through men's paths cross with Zax's? Will we also be able to see the truth behind the 'wing' of Angeal, who has become the 'One-Winged' being?
(caption at right)
The man at far left appears to be Genesis, who is being voiced by Gackt?
i won't translate the doc blurb, but apparently doc is being adapted for the handphone. it doesn't seem like it will make it's way overseas, though, much like before crisis never did. T_T
will post the second one soon.

Describing the true fight of the SOLDIERs
Crisis Core (hereafter referred to as CC) is a title from the Compilation that many fans have been waiting for. We have managed to catch a glimpse of this new work at the Tokyo Game Show's latest promotional movie. Now let us find out more in an email interview with Nomura-san.
INTERVIEW
Nomura Tetsuya talks about the latest promotional movie
Q: I'm sure many people were surprised at the quality of the movie at TGS, which many had thought the PSP as being unable to achieve. Was the movie merely a redone version of the trailer showed at E3?
A: The CC movie at TGS was a redone, alpha version of the one showed at E3. But we practically completely overhauled it. And the one at E3 was done with the support of the Kingdom Hearts team, but the one at the TGS was completely done by the CC team.
Q: We saw for the first time ever how battle would be conducted in the movie. How will the battles be like?
A: It may look more inclined to the action genre in the movie, but I think the system is actually more towards a command-based RPG system.
Q: We've verified that there was a slot-like, ripple effect kind of thing in the movie. May we ask what these things will be for?
A: That slot thing is actually something that restores Zax to his original status. It isn't some sort of pointless, gambling gimmick. To put it in clear words, it acts as the basis for the entire system - it moves the system. That ripple effect kind of thing is also somewhat like this, and because it has a close relation with the story, you'll see that it will become a very important system.
Q: We also saw Aerith dressed in white, and the mysterious 'G' all clad in red in this movie, so...?
A: Aerith has been mostly pink all this while. I've done a lot of designs for her for this game too, but because the white one was the most refreshing, that was the one we used. It also matched the scene where Zax and Aerith first met, Zax asking "Angel?" and Aerith replying, "No, I'm Aerith!". This is also the first time we've tried to make Aerith a vivd, lively character, and her voice actress Sakamoto Maaya went along with that feel. 'G' may be the one who surprisingly is the most mysterious of all. Gackt is his voice actor.
Q: It seems like Zax's design has changed because of the era of the game too?
A: It's true that Zax's design is different in the CC era than from the FFVII era. The younger Zax didn't have a scar on his cheek. How did he get that scar? Well, you'll find out in this game.
