IGN has thrown up eight new Hot PXL screenshots, which in case you weren't in the know, is a game that, through a compilation of short and fast minigames, promises to bring something unique and fun to the platform. Much like Nintendo's Warioware series, Hot PXL hopes to enthrall players through quirky, highly-charismatic minigames and even though we did not get ahold of it during E3, are looking forward to its impending release.

I really loved the Warioware games and I am looking forward to this too. I am worried, however, that part of the charm of the Warioware series is seeing how they can integrate so many classic games into one title.
Any idea if Hot PXL will have any PS cameos?

Even without PS cameos, as long as the content is fresh and fun the game will do well.
I'm currently hoping that they'll be able to make something truly fun and interesting without the touchscreen.

Well, since the touchscreen on the DS (and PDAs, and game.com) doesn't automatically mean 'fun' for all games that use it, I'm fairly sure it's possible for such a title to be 'fun' on the PSP.
BTW - minigames existed before touchscreens. Many cellphones without touchscreens have good simple games, as well. The GBA managed fairly well without one, too.
That said, I too worry about the fun factor with this game. We need more fun quirky titles like Loco, Katamari, Lumines, etc.

pixelator,
Not sure who your comments were even directed towards. Who said that minigames started on the touchscreen? Hell, the first 2 warioware games were on the gba and gamecube. I don't recall either having a touchscreen.
