Hey, PSP fanboys and fangirls, I have a question for you: What's your absolute favorite PSP game to date? I have to say being a longtime fan of Blizzard's Diablo, early on, I was enthralled with Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade. Unfortunately, no matter how hard I hacked it, I couldn't get it to play multiplayer nicely over Xlink Kai, so I lost interest. Since then, I've bounced between favorites.
Of course, I love Wipeout Pure! I've always loved the Wipeout series and the nice little browser that can be easily tricked into regular browsing on my 1.50 firmware homebrew system really makes this one of the must-haves for the PSP.
Speaking of homebrew, I think I know my favorite game on the PSP: Chris Bowron's pspChess, which is a port of BCE to the PSP. What's your favorite?

I'm in love with Burnout Revenge. I play it during my 40 minute train ride commute.

It's kind of sad when your favorite game is emulated, not even made for the system, no?
I'm still playing Lumines.

Lumines is a great game but GTA: LCS recently overtook it as my favorite PSP title. It's just so massive for a portable title.

X-men legends 2 ftw (although no one and their mother is online)
If I have to pick a PSP exclusive title, I'd go with the obvious Libery City Stories.

I played the heck out of Untold Legends with my girlfriend. Diablo was the only other game I could ever really get her into.
I'd have to say it was the game I've had the most fun with so far. Lumines a close second.

Wipeout Pure owns everything else!
I've tried more than a few, and everything else aside, Wipeout is the only one that makes the PSP controls feel right!

Lumines.
At least for my wife. In fact, it's become a bit of an addiction. She's asked that I sell the game or hide it or something so that she can have her life again. :)
Seriously though, Lumines is incredible.
I rented GTA and it's also a great game. Ridge Racer and Wipeout are solid choices too. To be honest though, I've been rather disappointed with the limited selection of "good" games so far.

I agree with you "J Aaron Farr"... something needs to happen with these psp games.. and soon! When i first bought my psp i bought several games with it, and to my dissapointment, most of them haven't been able to hold my interest. I find myself playing mario brothers on an NES emulator more than anything... its kinda sad

Lumines is definitely, in my mind, one of the greatest games of all time. It's like Tetris... I know that in ten years I'll still be able to randomly pick it up and play for hours and hours.
So, Lumines kind of holds the eternal #1 and is left out of the running.. That leaves GTA:LCS as the clear winner. Even with its many flaws, it's still such an impressive feat that it stays squarely up there.
Here's hoping we can get some more games to dethrone some of our current favorites...
