It's not a full sequel, so it's understandable that the visuals and presentation of Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Plus look a bit ... underwhelming. It features the same great taste of the original, but we'd love to see the PSP's full 333MHz unlocked for a franchise that's known for pushing tech boundaries. Thanks to recent releases like Syphon Filter, we've been quite spoiled at what the PSP can (and should) be able to do. Thankfully, the game looks like a lot of fun.

New Metal Gear Solid videos look not-so-new
Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Plus goes gold

"Infinity Mission" is the new single player campaign (a Sony e-mail misprinted Infinity War as the name of the entire game). Just like the original Portable Ops, players will be able to recruit new comrades and gain new weapons through the single player campaign. Additional multiplayer modes, such as Shooting Range and Training Mode, will ll test the skills of each player. In addition, Portable Ops+ will use the save data from the original game so that you can continue with the squad you had originally created.
Additional online maps in Plus include an updated version of the original Metal Gear Solid's REX Hangar. Additional characters, like Raiden and Old Snake, are also hidden in the game. Stay tuned for more.
What is Metal Gear Solid: Infinite War? [Update]

[Update: Ryan Patton responds: "Infinite War" was the codename I gave to the project before "MPO+" was decided on. Funny how things find their ways to retailers. Thanks, Random!]
Sleek new MGS:PO+ trailer
A brand new five minute trailer has been released for Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Plus. This Kojima Productions expansion pack looks stellar, and this new video trailer looks absolutely sleek. See new details on the single and multi player portions of the game, and see Old Snake in action.
[Thanks, luis!]
