PSP fights back: 2.00 released

After a series of feature-less firmware releases meant to address security issues, Sony surprised the public by unleashing firmware 2.00. Exclusively available in Japan in July, the firmware update offered a number of new features that made the PSP feel like a new machine. For the first time ever, the PSP had an internet browser. Not only that, it could play AVC videos, MP4 audio, and could feature wallpaper. It took about one whole month for the firmware to be released in the US, inexplicably.
