Baseball means exactly two things to me: beer and hotdogs. Sure, there's a lot to be said for homers and Nomer and steroid-munching athletes with freakish media manners, but it's all about the vittles for me.
For everyone else, especially the ones who can answer questions like "who was the first baseball player to be ejected from a game for throwing a spitball?*", there's
MLB '06: The Show. They should be happy too, because apparently the game is pretty darned good. A solid presentation, matched with a some new game modes and glitch fixes, make this portable baseball title a homerun, rain or shine.
IGN [8.3] - "
MLB '06: The Show for the PSP is a step forward from last year's bare bones port...The Rivalry mode from the PS2 should've been included as a multiplayer option, which is a definite strike against the game, and the relative bugs that are fixed from last year are decent but inconsistent. These issues aside, MLB '06 is arguably one of the best sports titles on the PSP."
GameDaily [4 of 5] - "[
MLB '06: The Show] is the best damn sports game that I have ever played on a hand held system, a title that begs to be purchased and loved into the wee hours of the morning."
GameZone Online [8.5] - "
MLB '06: The Show feels like a more complete version of last year's game so if you missed that one you seriously should consider buying this one right away."
