Everyday Shooter on the PSP or PS3? I've heard rumors of a PSP PSN version, but I don't think it has been confirmed yet. (Maybe it just was?)

If any one from PSP Fanboy could ask Sony if they have any plans on selling the PSP in different colors by them self I would really appreciate it. I want to buy a Blue PSP but I already own a PSP with a 4 gig memory card and I don't want Madden. So if you get around to it I would be really thankful because I don't want another Black PSP. Plus with this new version of the PSP I might have to wait a little longer to get a new PSP. So also ask if Sony plans on bringing more PSP color's out too.

Joe: I could be so wrong that transgendered Buddhists will name my analog stick Biff, but it seems to me that Sony doesn't release exotic colors until well into the life cycle of new hardware. Europe might get colors because they missed out on our last bundles, but we've just had blue and red. Sony isn't likely to give the US the same colors again immediately. The new bundles haven't even sold out.
Japanese consumers will get endless PSP colors, but, of course, they always do. Go to Japan and shop for a vacuum cleaner: you'll find it in seventeen shades.
Do you really need an internal mic? If not, get a Slim or wait to be certain the 3000 is as hackable as the 2000. Don't be a beta-tester for huge companies unless they supply the hardware.

@ Frastoglegnia I really could care less about the Mic but if I am going to buy a new PSP you might as well get the newest one.
Also I wonder if I did not make my comment clear. Sony sells the PSP black by it self but if you want a colored PSP you have to buy it in a bundle.
Why can't you buy a colored PSP by it sell for the 150 price instead of getting a colored in a 200 bundle. To me I would think having the color's being sold by them self would help sell more PSPs. Because what if a person owns a PSP 1000 and wants to get a new PSP but does not want the same color. So to me it feel like Sony should offer more then just the Black PSP by itself.

I agree with you 100%, but it seems to me that they're doing it to help ease people into swallowing the $200 price tag for a mediocre game (with some exceptions) and a UMD movie they likely wouldn't sell in the first place. In Japan, they don't have to worry about that. And who uses 1GB now a days if your system is hacked? I was waiting for a blue non madden 2000, but now I think I will wait and see how hackable these 3000 ones are. You just know they're going to have some nasty protection schemes to try and lock it down. I hope DAX can work his magic on these.

I haven't bought a PSP yet. I made the decision to get one around the time details about this model started to leak, so I figured I'd wait and see. I don't care much about the microphone, but the brighter screen sounds nice. However, one of the reasons I wanted a PSP was to play old Lucas Arts adventure games in SCUMM while traveling. I'm guessing that modifying the firmware to do that won't be possible right away on this new model. How long was it after the slim's launch before the thing was hacked, just to give me an idea?

Just bought the Madden bundle, so this news makes me a little sad inside. None of those are blue, however, so they can stuff it. I already own two PSPs so another one would basically mean it's time for me to go work in the red light district.

well... this is a fail for me. as excited as i was to see everyday shooter and echochrome being included in these packages, i don't need a 3rd psp. i'm going to hold out until sony comes out with a 2nd nub (btw, anyone think that the 2nd nub might screw controls for older games? just a thought)

I guarantee there wouldn't ever be a second analog nub version. Yes, it will definitely leave other owners left out in the shade as well as most previous games.

how could adding a 2nd nub "screw" the controls on existing games?

Any psp game using a second analogue nub will not be compatible with older hardware versions. Your psp phat or slim would not be able to play it, pretty much forcing every PSP owner to either buy the new hardware version or GTFO.
Sony could always release it as an accessory for use with PS1 titles, but I doubt that would happen.
