The revelation that Agito, the former Final Fantasy XIII cell phone game, was coming to the PSP was a nice revelation for many. Apparently, the developers were tired of waiting for cell phone tech to advance to the level they wanted for Agito. While details are far and few between, the latest issue of Famitsu PS3 (via FinalFantasyXIII.net) says that Agito will use an advanced version of Crisis Core's ATB system. Fans of the PSP-exclusive prequel should be familiar with the real-time battle system. However, unlike Crisis Core, players can look forward to controlling more than one character.
Another bonus is the addition of Infrastructure online play to Agito, a rarity for more Japanese-developed titles. Games with community aspects, such as Monster Hunter Portable and Phantasy Star Portable have opted to use Ad-Hoc multiplayer only. Although that hasn't hindered the popularity of either of these games, players across the Pacific understand that Infrastructure makes online play much more accessible. We approve.
[Thanks, Monkey!]

I almost spit out my drink after reading that. Hilarious.
I'm blown away that a Japanese developer is making use of infrastructure. Also, the one complaint I have about Crisis Core was that you only control Zack. I REALLY wanted to control everyone he meets. It would've been awesome to control Angeal, Cloud and even better...Sephiroth. I'm really excited to see what Agito has in store.

Comment came out incomplete. Wth
Anyways, what I was saying is that I said that quote as soon as they announced Agito for the PSP. And it's great to see they will take a step forward adding infrastructure online mode as well.

man, this is going to be awesome along with dissidia. just took a look at gamespot's hands on demo of dissidia, and it looks like SE is going to deliver on the psp. and these controls remind me of star ocean more than anything else (action rpg-ish)

why not? isnt that the free battle form liek crisis core. i kinda get sick of the random battles with turn base rpg. they should at least make it to where you can see the enemy before starting a fight.

I think you are mistaking ATB (active time battle I think) with DMW(digital mind wave). The ATB has been used since some of the early final fantasies, while the DMW is the random slot-reel which decided powerups, levels, etc. in CC.

Eh I thought DMW was part of ATB, but then again, this might be wrong. I really hope that DMW will be discarded forever. ATB, on the other hand, is quite cool

They said the ATB system used by crisis core. Not the DMW system. *facepalm*

well thanks for clarifying cause that damn DMW is the reason my copy of Crisis Core has less than 10 hours on it. i hate that random slot machine. i dont know who could think that was a good idea. it takes alot of the strategy out of the fight.
overall though, i prefer Kingdom Hearts ATB system to Crisis Core's any day, DMW included or not.

I think having the main character use tarot cards is an original, but not very exciting, idea. This is definitely second on my wanted games list, after Dissidia. I think wikipedia said something about it being a MMOG.

I have a learner's permit, and I got it having missed most of the questions about identifying street signs. Some states (*cough*Florida*cough*) set the bar too low at the DMV. Lucky for everyone, my learner's permit is about to expire (which is good, because I'm 15 in the picture and damn near 25 in real life, and that gets awkward when I need to buy booze) and I've no intention of ever driving an automobile. So you're safe.
