Wait, what's that in the mail? Our very own copy of DJ Max Fever? ZOMG! The incredibly popular Korean music game is finally coming Stateside. The gameplay should be familiar to those that have played a Beatmania game: you must press buttons that correspond with falling notes. However, DJ Max is known for its notorious difficulty. Beware!
DJ Max Fever is a mix of the two DJ Max Portable games released in Asia so far. With over 100 songs, five difficulty levels, Network Battle Mode, and an unlockable gallery of music videos, soundtracks and images, this looks like a winning addition to the PSP library. Even more surprising, it's coming out soon: November 11th.

What's shown is the trailer for the first DJ Max Portable in Korea. I was also confused by the video but a quick search reveals that there are multiple recent articles suggesting a North American release. Presumably the trailer for the first PSP version of the game was put up as an example representation because there isn't a trailer for the North American version of which I am aware.

:( My bday is after. Oh well, I guess I can't have that as a Bday present. I will just get it the firday after it comes out, that way I have something to entertain myself while I wait for my Bday.

Most likely. As far as I know, all the music featured in DJM are first-party stuff -- no licensed music -- so Pentavision is welcome to do whatever they please with their own material.

Ky may be right, but since I'm a pessimist:
Since this game is a mix of DJ Max 1 & 2, my guess is that they'll cherry-pick the songs which aren't in Korean. We'll get all the Engrish ones and some instrumentals.
Siliconera has some horrible might-be-boxart supposedly taken from the sales data worksheet. Hopefully, it's temporary or fake.

Oh sweet christ do not let that be the official box art.
And I don't see a reason why Pentavision would get rid of a bunch of the korean ones... But then again, the only non-english song I enjoy is that one with that 'cat girl' or whatever she is from DJMAX 1.
Outlaw HAS to be included, I will strangle the developers of the game if we do not get Outlaw...
And if we don't get Ray of Illuminati...
And... Well, the list would be extensive. ^_^;;

Finally, this is probably the best game for the PSP. Even though I own both DJ max 1 and 2, I'm still buying it.
